A legacy for Toowoomba
For 50 years, the Toowoomba Garden of Remembrance has been a prominent and sacred feature in the life of Toowoomba and surrounds.
Built on former farmland, the cemetery grounds were established in 1966 with a vision to be more like a parkland than a cemetery. The crematorium began operations in 1969.
Both our cemetery and crematorium were opened to provide an essential service to the people of Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and the Lockyer Valley. They have both been part of the fabric of the Darling Downs ever since.
